11“There is none who understands; there is none who seeks after God.12They have all turned aside; they have together become unprofitable; there is none who does good, no, not one."

We are all unclean before the shining holiness of God. There is none righteous but Christ. Our minds are surrounded with a thick fog, and we are unable to see God, our great standard, as he is. We do not know the horribleness of our sin. If only men would seek the glory of God that they might become clever! However, everyone takes his own way, clinging to his own honor, bound by his lust, and seeking ease. All men lost the way of their Lord, and nobody walks in the right way. You are not good in your manners at all. They have all turned aside, become unprofitable, and gone astray. We are all wicked in nature, and our consciences know us exactly.
